RVCC Mission Statement

Rockfish Valley Community Center exists to enrich the lives of all the diverse communities in and around the Rockfish Valley by providing recreational, educational, social, and cultural programs. In addition, we offer ample space within our walls for use by organizations and community-sponsored events. As caretakers of this historic school building, Center members, tenants, and staff work together to create a well-maintained, caring place for people of all ages and walks of life. The purpose of the Rockfish Valley Community Center is to provide, on a non-profit basis, a facility for cultural, recreational, social, and educational activities for the residents of the Rockfish Valley, the citizens of Nelson County, Virginia, and the surrounding area. The Center encourages activities that promote and provide opportunities to experience physical, social, intellectual, and cultural growth and development.

Directions

The Center is located at 190 Rockfish School Lane (State Route 635 West), Afton, VA, off of Rt. 151, in northwestern Nelson County, Virginia. We are 8 miles south of US 250 and approximately 3 miles north of the village of Nellysford.
