Make Fine Artists Brushes out of Deer Tail and Bamboo

Saturday – April 18th
9 am – noon

Learn how to make beautiful and functional brushes for painting, calligraphy, sumi-e and other wet media. You will want to display your lovely handmade brushes as much as you will want to use them! Depending on your media you can make brushes of various lengths and thicknesses.

Students will make one or two bamboo brushes in class. You will also be given the basic tools and materials to make more at home. Virginia studied under Susan Nayfield Kahn, master brush maker.

Cost: $75, adults and older teens
