Farm Pickup & Local Vendors

Fresh food. Local makers. One easy Wednesday stop.

Every Wednesday afternoon, Rockfish Valley Community Center becomes a convenient gathering place for our community. Pick up fresh food you’ve pre-ordered from local farms, browse products from local makers, and discover what’s growing and being created right here in Nelson County.

Whether you’re stopping by for eggs, baked goods, or handcrafted items, Wednesdays at RVCC make supporting local businesses simple.

“River Oak at its core will remain the same: a grass-based, diversified livestock farm, working with the land and not against it.”

Seeking Local Farms & Vendors

Rockfish Valley Community Center is introducing a new Wednesday Farm Pickup & Local Vendor Program, and we are currently looking for farms and small businesses interested in participating.

As we move away from the traditional Wednesday Market model, this updated format offers:

• A convenient pickup location for pre-ordered farm goods
• A limited number of vendor tables inside the auditorium for on-site sales

This approach is designed to be simple, consistent, and sustainable while continuing to support local agriculture and small businesses.

Participation Requirements

• RVCC Business Membership: $100/year
• Participation Fee: $50/month

The monthly fee helps cover space use, promotion, and coordination.

Program Focus

This is a smaller, community-centered program with limited space to ensure a positive experience for both participants and customers.
